Covid-19: 436 new cases reported in Ireland

ANOTHER 436 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported  by health officials this evening.

Due to the recent ransomware attack on the HSE systems, county-by-county figures are not available.

There are 101 patients in hospital receiving treatment for Covid-19, with 39 of those in intensive care.

Daily case numbers are subject to future data validation.

The HSE has said that there have been eight further Covid-19 deaths in Ireland since May 14.

Earlier today, no new deaths and 84 cases were reported in Northern Ireland. It has now been nine days since a Covid-19 related deaths was recorded in the North.
