The ‘Green Teams’ at Scoil Mhuire, Stranorlar, were All Ireland winners for Tuesday’s leg of National Walk to School Week.
The annual event, which started on Monday, May 24th, and finished last Friday, is organised by the Green Schools Ireland initiative at An Taisce.
And, on Tuesday, the Green Teams at Scoil Mhuire were chosen as the best in all of Ireland for their hard work and dedication.
As a result, the children were presented with three dozen delicious cupcakes, courtesy of An Taisce.
“We were delighted to be chosen as national winners on Tuesday, but it was just what the children deserved,” said Ms Gallinagh, Green Schools Co-ordinator at the Twin Towns school.
