Donegal is set to bask in beautiful sunshine today (Sunday) as the good spell continues.
Temperatures will reach highs of 21C and we’ll enjoy dry conditions and clear skies for most of the day.
And the good news is, the good weather will continue into the coming week.
Monday and Tuesday will also be hot and sunny, however, “uncertainty increases from the midweek period”, the national forecaster warns.
“The outlook for Thursday and beyond is for unsettled conditions with showers at times.”
If you are visiting your local beach, lake or river today, it’s important to be aware of water safety.
The advice from Water Safety Ireland is to plan ahead and ensure that you let somebody know where you are going and what time to expect you back. Ensure that you have a means of communication be it a VHF radio, fully charged mobile phone; check the weather forecast and tide times, and always wear a lifejacket if you are going afloat.
