Mica homeowners are to be exempt from paying Local Property Tax.

The measure was agreed yesterday to have parity with Pyrite homeowners.

The Cabinet signed off on significant changes to LPT that will see tax charged on properties built since 2013 for the first time. All homes are to be revalued in November, which will see thousands more homeowners facing bill increases of at least €100.

Further details are set to be announced this morning from Minister Pascal Donohue.
