Donegal Gardai have issued a plea to motorists to slow down after a Bank Holiday weekend of speeding.
Members of the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit caught a number of motorists driving at ridiculous speeds in the past couple of days.
They included drivers traveling at 166kph, 144kph, 133kph and 131kph.
Gardai said the drivers were traveling “well in excess” of the speed limit.
One driver was arrested and a number of fixed penalty notices were issued.
A frustrated message from Donegal Gardai simply said “The message doe snot seem to be getting through.
‘Speed Kills. please slow down.”
