A total of 11 people were arrested across Donegal for both drink and drug driving over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Seven of these were for drink-driving and another four for drug-driving.
All will be dealt with by the courts in the coming months.
Garda Grainne Doherty said that while it is great to see cafes and bars reopening, she reminded the Donegal public that drink, drugs and driving are a bad mix.
“We would appeal to people not to drive if they are under the influence of drink or drugs. Gardai will continue to man checkpoints across the county.
“Drink, drugs and driving are a bad mix and we would ask people to make their right choices,” she said.
