Sunday is shaping up to be the hottest day of 2021 so far, as temperatures could soar to 26C.
The weather is looking good for beach trips and outdoor dining, as Met Eireann forecasts sunshine and warm temperatures reaching between 20 and 26 degrees.
Today (Friday) will be fresher that earlier in the week, with just one or two showers in the northwest. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.
The forecast for Saturday predicts highs of 20C, with a risk of cloud to the north and west.
Sunday, forecasters said, will see the warmest temperatures. There will be a good deal of dry weather but a risk of a few showers in the evening.
We’ll have to make the most of the good weekend, as conditions are set to become cooler and more unsettled next week.
