People Living in the Maghera area near Ardara went three days without water last week.

The matter was raised by Councillor Anthony Molloy at this week’s meeting of Donegal County Council.

Describing the situation as ‘unacceptable’, Cllr Molloy proposed that the council support applications by local community groups to Irish Water to provide adequate and good quality water in all areas of Donegal.

The motion was passed unanimously.
