THE Department of Health has confirmed 313 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland this evening.
The HSE reports that there are 53 patients in Ireland’s hospitals receiving treatment for Covid-19 with 15 of those in intensive care. This is the lowest ICU figure since mid-September 2020.
No county-by-county figures have been issued due to the recent ransomware attack on the HSE systems.
The Department say that daily case numbers may change due to future data review, validation and update, owing to the attack.
Earlier today, no further Covid-19 related deaths and 178 new cases were reported in Northern Ireland.
