The deadline for the CAO ‘Change-of-Mind’ facility is approaching. Over 60% of students use this facility each year, and with the deadline just around the corner, LYIT is encouraging prospective students to consider LYIT in their CAO choices.

Fiona Kelly, LYIT Schools Engagement Officer, spoke to Donegal Daily this week and commented, “More and more students are leaving their decision making to the last minute, unsure of their choices, and we at LYIT are on campus, over the next few days, to welcome students to our campuses, and to answer questions that incoming students may have. This has been a significantly challenging year for prospective students, and over the last month we at LYIT, have been facilitating a high volume of questions and queries from incoming students. We have also been welcoming prospective students from across Ireland to our campuses, for campus visits.”

Kirsty O’Donnell, first year Bachelor of Science (Hons) in General Nursing student chose LYIT in her 2020 CAO choices and has enjoyed her first year at LYIT. Kirsty has enjoyed the state-of-the-art facilities at LYIT, the lecturer/student learning environment, and the overall LYIT community during her first year in Nursing at LYIT. Kirsty is one of many Donegal students, who has chosen to study closer to home and she is encouraging prospective students to consider LYIT in their CAO choices.

Finally, LYIT will host a CAO ‘Change-of-Mind’ Facebook Live at 7pm on Monday 28 June. During this event, Fiona Kelly, LYIT Schools Engagement Officer, will answer CAO related questions and queries live on the LYIT Facebook page.
