Gardai are investigating a vicious assault on a man on the Main Street in Buncrana.

The man was attacked by two other men at around 11pm on Thursday night last, June 24th.

The man received a number of injuries and had to be hospitalised as a result.

Gardai say that his injuries are not life-threatening, however.

CCTV is being examined in a bid to identify the two suspects.

One wore a dark top, dark trousers and white runners while the second wore grey tracksuit bottoms.

Gardai in Buncrana have appealed for anybody who was in the area at the time to contact them.
