Over half the adult population in Ireland is now fully vaccinated against Covid-19, the Health Service Executive has confirmed.
69% of all adults have had their first dose.
A total of 4.42M vaccines have been administered to date with 345,000 completed last week, says HSE CEO Paul Reid.
“We’re working hard to protect as many people as quickly as possible,” he said.
The vaccine roll-out extended to the 18-34 age group yesterday. Pharmacies have been tasked with administering the J&J vaccine to the younger cohort.
