DONEGAL duo Michael Murphy and Odhrán MacNiallais are ready to face Derry in this Sunday’s Ulster SFC quarter-final.
Murphy had to limp out of last month’s preliminary round win over Down while Mac Niallais was not in Donegal’s squad for the game in Newry.
Both have been hampered with hamstring injuries in recent weeks, Murphy having been forced out of a League game against Monaghan in May wit MacNiallais withdrawn during the Division 1 semi-final against Dublin.
“All good,” reported the Donegal manager Declan Bonner this morning.
“With just one session to go we’ve almost a full bill of health. The only players within the group that aren’t available are Kieran Gillespie and Jeaic Mac Ceallbhuí, who are coming back from injury.
“The rest are going well. Odhran MacNiallais has been back training since the Tuesday or the Wednesday after the Down game.”
On Murphy, Bonner said his captain was ‘in great form’.
Oisin Gallen may also make his return to the squad on Sunday with the Sean MacCumhaills man absent from the panel for the 2-25 to 1-12 win over Down.Tags:
