The Donegal Donkey Sanctuary will be featured on RTÉ’s popular Nationwide programme tonight.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight our work nationally and to talk about the impact of Covid closure on an animal welfare organisation,” a spokesperson for the facility said.
“Our thanks to our vet Nick Garvey from Old Church Veterinary for taking part. Please tune in to see some of our lovely residents on Nationwide tonight at 7pm on RTE1.”

The sanctuary, outside Raphoe, has remained closed since last year due to Covid restrictions.
The loss of support from visitors and international tourists has placed a severe financial pressure on the centre.
Due to the constant need for funds to care for donkeys’ food, transport and vet bills, the centre has decided to keep their GoFundMe open for anyone who wishes to donate at any time.
