A person has been airlifted to hospital after a fall on Errigal Mountain this afternoon.
Members of the emergency services including the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team and the Rescue 118 helicopter received word of the accident just before 4pm.
The casualty had fallen half-way up the mountain.
Members of the Mountain Rescue Team responded and treated the casualty at the scene.
It was then decided to fly the casualty to Sligo University Hospital by the Rescue 118 helicopter.
DMRT returned to base once the casualty was secured and stood down at 19:11 hours.
The condition of the casualty is not yet known.
