Listen: Mickey McCann guards against complacency as Donegal head for Leitrim

DONEGAL hurling manager Mickey McCann insists that his side can’t be complacent when they face Leitrim tomorrow.

Donegal go to Carrick-on-Shannon as the overwhelming favourites in their second Nickey Rackard Cup game despite  a home defeat over Mayo two weeks ago.

McCann, though, is taking nothing for granted.

“A couple of years ago we played a ‘B’ team against Warwickshire and we had them a week later in a play-off and we lost,” McCann pointed out.

“We have to knuckle down and we can’t take them lightly at all.

“We will take the hot favourites’ tag into the match. We can’t let our boys get complacent We have to go down with the right attitude. Anything can happen in hurling so we need to get our own house in order.”

Although Conor O’Grady and Gerry Gilmore will return to the squad, McCann admits that Danny Cullen is ‘a big risk’ and the Setanta man is unlikely to feature.
