Indoor dining is set to reopen to people who are vaccinated or immune from Covid-19 “no later than Monday 26 July,” the Government has announced.
Hospitality businesses will be briefed on reopening plans today.
No specific reopening date has been given yet, but the government said it will happen on the week of 19th-26th July.
The Cabinet signed off on legislation for the new measures yesterday.
Customers will need an EU Digital Green Certificate as an indoor dining pass to show that they have been fully vaccinated or previously had Covid-19.
Children will be allowed to dine indoors if they are accompanied by a vaccinated or immune guardian. Unvaccinated hospitality workers will be permitted to have a drink or meal in their place of work.
Social distancing measures will remain in place in order to protect workers and children in such premises in line with discussions with unions and the hospitality sector.
