Gardaí are continuing to appeal to the public for information and footage in relation to a fatal hit-and-run in Lifford at the weekend.
Thirty-four-year-old Laura Connolly lost her life after being struck by a white van on July 11, 2021 at approx 2.45am at Townparks, Lifford. The driver failed to remain at scene.
Laura was a much-loved mother-of-one who lived locally at Croaghan Heights. She was planning her wedding with her partner in 2022.
On Sunday, 50-year-old Sean Connaughton, who has an address in Dundalk, Co Louth, was arrested on suspicion of a hit and run causing death or serious injury. He appeared in Letterkenny District Court on Monday charged with two related road traffic offences at Townparks, Lifford on July 11, 2021.
Gardaí have today renewed their public appeal for witnesses. Investigating Gardaí are appealing to those with video footage (including dash cam) from the scene and along this route to make it available to them.
