A stunning weekend is in store for Donegal as temperatures soar to the high 20s.
Highs of up to 27C are expected at times on Saturday and Sunday with sunshine forecast for the whole weekend.
The hottest conditions can be expected at the weekend, but early next week will also be warm and sunny.
Met Eireann says Donegal could experience some drizzle tonight, but the overall outlook is for good summer conditions.
“Today will be dry and very warm with top temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees, cooler in west Ulster,” said the national forecaster.
“Tonight will be very mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 13 to 16 degrees.”
“Tomorrow will be very warm or hot, and dry with good sunshine developing across most of Ulster, but cloudier in coastal counties. Temperatures will rise to 22 to 26 degrees, cooler near coasts due to sea breezes, with light northwest breezes inland.”
