In a busy weekend for beaches and waterways, jet skiers in Donegal are being urged to read and follow bye-laws at local piers.
Coast guards have reported a recent spate of jet ski infringements into swimming areas, resulting in a greater risk to members of the public. The incidents have placed increased demands on Search and Rescue organisations.
Mulroy Coast Guard is specifically reminding Downings visitors that there are specific bye-laws for the area. They are outlined in a sign at the entrance of the pier.
“Please familiarise yourself with them prior to launching,” a spokesperson said.
