Gardaí are urging motorists to slow down and watch out for pedestrians and kids during this sunny week.
Buncrana Roads Policing Unit conducted a speed check in the St Johnston area yesterday evening and recorded cars travelling at speeds of 81, 73 and 80 km/hr. The speed limit on the road was 50km/hr
“There were pedestrians and kids in the area at the time enjoying the sunshine,” said a garda spokesperson.
“Always drive with due care and attention and remain mindful of the speed limit. It certainly won’t kill if you are a few minutes late but speeding can and does kill.”
