Donegal Town locals have been left angered by overnight vandalism in the Diamond.

Residents and business owners made a grim discovery this morning when they found flowers and plants ripped from pots and thrown around the town centre.

The incident has sparked great annoyance among locals who take pride in their town.

A clean-up operation took place early this morning.

The vandalism has been caught on CCTV. Meanwhile, anyone with any information or footage is being asked to contact gardaí in Ballyshannon at +353 71 9858537.
