Ireland’s heatwave is cooling down this week with rain making a comeback.
Showery rain is forecast for Donegal this afternoon. Met Eireann is warning that thundery downpours at times may lead to spot flooding in places.
The day will be cooler at highs of 18-20C.
Tonight will see Further showers and localised thunderstorms overnight with a continued risk of spot flooding. Overnight temperatures will be much more comfortable at 11 to 14 degrees Celsius.
The outlook for the rest of the week is “fresh and showery”, Met Eireann says.
