Met Eireann is warning of localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions today as heavy rain continues.
A Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warning is in place for Ulster, Connacht and Leinster today (Saturday) until midnight.
Heavy, slow-moving and thundery showers will strike throughout the day.
” Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, mildest in the east, in light to moderate northwest winds, fresh on Donegal coasts,” said the forecaster.
Heavy showers will continue tonight and merge into longer spells of rain at times.
Tomorrow will remain showery, with the heaviest and most frequent rain over the west and north of Ulster.
