As part of the Colmcille 1500 celebrations, Explore Inishowen, in collaboration with the Inishowen Social Enterprise Network, are excited to launch tickets for the inaugural Inishowen Walking Festival.

This event will host a series of guided walks between the 10-12th of September across the Inishowen Peninsula, including a Colmcille featured walk with the Inishowen Maritime Museum. This walk will see an introduction to Colmcille and the Foyle by former Irish Ambassador James Sharkey, and will also be joined by archaeologist and Colmcille specialist Dr. Brian Lacey.

For more information on how to book tickets for this event, please visit www.govisitinishowen.com.

This project has been supported through the Colmcille 1500 Grant Scheme which is funded by the North West Development Fund and Creative Ireland, in conjunction with and supported by The Executive Office and The Irish Government.

This event is co-funded by Donegal Sports Partnership as a health and wellbeing activity, and we’re excited to get the communities connected and out and about in the fresh Inishowen air for a fun and informative weekend.
