Parts of Donegal experienced power cuts today as stormy weather strikes the west coast.

Over 5,000 properties were impacted by two major outages in Gweedore and Creeslough this afternoon. Both faults were restored after 2pm.

Ongoing outages have been reported at Rossgeir near Lifford, where 207 customers are affected, and at Ballymacarry in Buncrana (54 customers affected). A second fault in Gweedore is impacting 328 properties. ESB networks are working on repairs in all affected areas.

The status yellow weather warning has been lifted, but srong and gusty winds are continuing to affect many parts of Donegal this afternoon.
