Update: Woman airlifted to hospital after Barnesmore crash

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a road traffic accident that led to the closure of a section of Barnesmore Gap this afternoon. 

Gardaí and emergency services attended a single-vehicle traffic collision that occurred on the N15 at approximately 3:45pm.

One woman aged in her 30s was injured in this collision and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.

The section of the N15 will remain closed for a period, Gardaí have said. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

A Garda spokesperson told Donegal Daily: “The road in question is currently closed with local diversions in place while the scene is being attended.”
