A new car park has been constructed to stop dangerous roadside parking at a popular wooded area on the outskirts of Letterkenny.
The woods at Coravaddy became a hugely popular attraction for walkers during lockdown.
Because of the volume of traffic many motorists were forced to park along the verge of the road which is also used as a back route between Letterkenny and Ballybofey.
Now Donegal County Council have come up with a long term solution for the parking problems by building a second c ar park in the area.
The car park, which is located at the middle entrance to the woods can hold up to 15 car spaces for walkers.
