Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Donegal today.
The national forecaster said there will be scattered heavy showers with localised thundery downpours which will give a risk of spot flooding.
The warning is valid from 12 noon until 8pm this evening and also includes counties Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo as well as Leinster.
The UK Met Office has also issued a yellow rain warning for all of the six counties. It is valid from 12 noon until midnight tonight.
