An angler was recused after being surrounded by tides in the Killybegs area last night.
Members of the Killybegs Coast Guard say they received reports of an angler who was in danger after getting cut off by the tide.
The angler was eventually lifted to safety by the Rescue 118 helicopter.
A spokesperson said “Killybegs Coast Guard members assessed the situation and requested Rescue 118 to the scene.
“Rescue 118 airlifted the angler to safety.”
And the spokesperson added “Always remember if you see anybody in trouble on the water or along the coast or if you think they are in trouble Ring 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
