One of Donegal’s most poplar bars has been forced to close because of Covid.

The Rusty Mackerel Bar and Restaurant in Teelin has become a hugely popular destination for locals and tourists.

The bar, which underwent a complete renovation, is a go-to spot for visitors to the Sliabh Liag Cliffs and Glencolmcille.

Management at the bar/restaurant last night posted a message on their Facebook page announcing that they will be closed for the foreseeable future.

The message read “In the interest of our Staff and Customers we have decided to close our doors until it is safe to reopen.”
