EIGHT A1s for Coláiste Ailigh student in Leaving Certificate

A STUDENT at Coláiste Ailigh in Letterkenny was awarded EIGHT A1 grades in his Leaving Certificate today.

Oisín Ó Fearáin is the first student in the school’s history to achieve the full 8 A1.

Another student at Coláiste Ailigh, Liam Ó Hannagáin scored seven A1s and an A2.

Liam is abroad on scholarship to Yale University and last term at Coláiste Ailigh received an award for outstanding achievement from SciFest.

A school spokesperson said:  “The school is delighted with the results today with over half of the students having received over 500 points and almost a fifth scoring over 600 points.”
