LETTERKENNY Rovers secured a significant win on Saturday when defeating Keadue Rovers 2-1 at Central Park – and the win could be a highly significant one in the title race.

That win courtesy of goals from Nathan Plumb and Ethan Doherty means Rovers move four points clear of second-placed Bonagee United.

Letterkenny Rovers have a game in hand which they will play on Wednesday night in Drumkeen.

A big away win for Letterkenny Rovers on Saturday as they make it seven wins from seven n the Donegal Youth League with a hard earned win at Keadue Rovers.

Rovers saw a penalty missed by Jack Dwyer with Keadue also being reduced to ten men  before taking the lead before halftime through Nathan Plumb.

Ethan Doherty then doubled Rovers lead before Oran Fallon got one back for Keadue.

Letterkenny held on for a crucial win despite the late sending off of midfielder Shea White.

Lagan Harps 1 Kilmacrennan Celtic 3

A closely fought battle saw Kilmacrennan come away from Lagan with all three points. An even enough first half in which the only goal came in the 37th minute when Kilmacrennan were awarded a penalty which was cooly converted by Owen Browne.

The second half saw Kilmacrennan start quicker out of the blocks when they scored 2 quick goals in the 47th and 49th minutes through Cian Payne.

To Lagan’s credit they never stopped and pilled on the pressure. Lagan pulled a goal back after Conor Crossan headed in a Jacob McDaid free kick from the right.

With all Lagan’s pressure the Kilmacrennan defence stood firm until the 90th minute when Lagan got a penalty of their own – but it was brilliantly saved by Kilmacrennan keeper.

A facile win for Ballyraine as they continue to finish the season strong with a comprehensive defeat of Swilly Rovers.

Ballyraine were 5-0 up at the interval and hit another five goals  in the second half.
