Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warning for all of Ireland due to bad weather conditions tonight.
The alert came into effect at 9am this morning and will be valid until 12pm on Thursday.
Scattered heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected in some areas over the next 24 hours, the forecaster said.
“Localised flooding may occur where the rainfall is heaviest,” warned Met Eireann.
Temperatures will remain warm at highs of 21-24C today and 15-16C tonight.
Thursday is forecast to be “generally cloudy day with further heavy thundery showers and an ongoing risk of spot flooding. ”
