Letterkenny is to get a temporary new ambulance base.
The ambulance service usually has its base at Letterkenny University Hospital.
However, the headquarters is currently undergoing renovations which means it is out of operation for the next eight weeks.
Instead the ambulance service will operate out of St Eunans GAA Clubhouse at O’Donnell Park.
A spokesperson for St Eunans GAA Club has appealed to people coming into the ground to be aware that ambulances will be using the clubhouse grounds.
The spokesperson said “They (ambulances and personnel) will be coming and going 24/7 so we are asking all members and visitors to please Park carefully within the spaces provided and not to block any access areas.
“We as a Club are delighted to be able to facilitate The National Ambulance Service and acknowledge their great work and service to the entire community.”
