Letterkenny University Hospital is the most overcrowded in Ireland today with 49 patients awaiting admission.
According to the INMO, 16 people are on trolleys, and 33 are waiting on the wards.
There has been ongoing pressure on bed availability in the hospital in recent weeks. Patients are currently experiencing long waiting times to be admitted from the ED to an acute bed in the hospital.
Meanwhile the hospital is treating 23 patients with Covid-19 – up from 14 this time last week. Three patients with Covid-19 were recorded in ICU at the hospital as of 8pm last night.
