A Donegal County Councillor has called on the government to ‘do the right thing’ and ease the suffering of Mica homeowners.
Donegal and Mayo campaigners will submit their proposals for a reviewed scheme to the Minister for Housing tomorrow.
Ahead of this crucial moment, Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly is urging the government to commit to a 100% mica redress scheme.
“I hope for and I want 100% redress for the people of Donegal nothing else will be good enough,” Cllr Kelly said.
“These families in Donegal and beyond need and deserve 100% redress to help end their suffering and pain.”
Cllr Kelly added: “I along with so many others have friends and neighbors suffering due to this mica crisis and I urge our Government to do the right thing by the people affected by Mica.”
