Letterkenny Gardai clocked a car travelling at more than 50% over the recommended speed limit yesterday.

The motorist was detected by the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit on the dual-carriageway travelling at 151 KPH (94 Mph) in a 100 KPH zone.

The driver has been issued with a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice.

“We are trying to make the roads safer for everyone. Please play your part and slow down. Speed can and does kill,” a spokesperson for Letterkenny Garda Station said.
