THE Department of Health have confirmed 1,154 new cases of Covid-19 this afternoon.
Health officials have said that there are 297 patients in Irish hospitals with Covid-19.
Of those, 63 are in intensive care settings.
Deaths from Covid-19 are now being announced weekly. As of last Wednesday, there have been 5,179 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
There are now 22 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital with four patients in ICU.
