Night works to impact traffic on Letterkenny’s Four Lane Road

Nighttime works are set to impact traffic on the N56 Four Lane Road in Letterkenny this week.

The contractor FBEL has announced plans to reduce some lanes to single lanes to accommodate the works.

The measures begin from Monday 27th September.

During the hours of 7am to 7pm – all lanes will remain open.

Between the hours of 7pm to 7am – Temporary Traffic management will be in place on the N56 Four Lane carriageway:

Lane Narrowing

  • The inbound lane of the N56 Four lane will be reduced down to a single lane;
  • The outbound lane of the N56 Four lane will be reduced down to a single lane;
  • Single Lane shuttle will be in operation for periods during this time.

Semi-Static Operation

Works will be undertaken on the carriageway under semi-static traffic management.
