Covid-19: Health officials confirm 1,499 new cases with 300 in hospital

HEALTH officials have confirmed that 1,499 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Ireland today.

The Department of Health says that there are now 300 Covid-19 patients in Irish hospitals.

Of those, 63 are in intensive care settings.

There are 20 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital who have tested positive for the coronavirus, one of whom is in ICU.
