Buncrana’s Covid-19 test centre shutting down

The Buncrana Covid-19 test centre is set to close down from this evening.

The HSE has announced that operations at the pop-up facility will cease from 7pm.

From tomorrow, Covid-19 tests will only be available in Donegal at Letterkenny or the Cleary Centre, Donegal Town.

Covid-19 incidence rates have fallen significantly in Inishowen in the past month. Rates in the Carndonagh and Buncrana local electoral areas were among the highest in the country at times in August. In the past two weeks, however, higher rates have centred around Letterkenny, Milford and Lifford-Stranorlar.
