Round four Senior Championship draw made and Intermediate quarter-finals made

THE draws for round four of the group phase in the Donegal SFC as well as pairings for the IFC quarter-finals have been made.

The draw took place after St Eunan’s 2-14 to 0-7 win over Aodh Ruadh at O’Donnell Park.

With one round of games to go, just three teams are mathematically certain of a passage into the SFC quarter-finals: Gaoth Dobhair, Kilcar and Naomh Conaill.

Kilcar and Gaoth Dobhair have been drawn to meet in round four.

While next weekend’s meeting of the two if of little consequence, it is a significant pairing in that they cannot now be drawn together in the quarter-finals with repeat fixtures not permitted. Kilcar will also avoid St Eunan’s in the last eight should the Letterkenny side seal their berth.

The quarter-final ties in the IFC were made this evening, too, and threw up a tasty west Donegal derby between Naomh Muire and Dungloe.

Cloughaneely, the beaten 2020 finalists, will face Malin, Naomh Columba take on Naomh Brid while Gaeil Fhánada clash with Buncrana.
