Covid-19: 1,124 new cases in Ireland, 12 Covid patients at LUH

ANOTHER 1,124 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.

The Department of Health says that there are now 349 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.

Of those, 65 people are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.

There are 12 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital, with no new admissions over the last 24 hours. As of 8pm last night, there are two confirmed Covid-19 patients in ICU at the hospital.

Daily county-by-county figures are no longer released by NPHET. The latest data shows that Donegal’s incidence of infection has fallen to fifth in the country.

The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 591.1 per 100,000 on 3rd October. The national average was 378.3 per 100,000. A total of 941 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the two weeks up to Sunday.
