ANOTHER 984 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The Department of Health says that there are now 343 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
There has been a total of 5,280 deaths related to COVID-19 notified in Ireland to date.
Of those, 70 people are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.
There are 13 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital. As of 8pm last night, there are two confirmed Covid-19 patients in ICU at the hospital.
Daily county-by-county figures are no longer released by NPHET. The latest data shows that Donegal’s incidence of infection is the fourth highest in the country.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 592.4 per 100,000 on 4th October. The national average was 372.1 per 100,000. A total of 943 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the two weeks up to Monday.
