Inishowen Credit Union require Member Service Officers

Inishowen Credit Union was formed in the recent merger between Buncrana Credit Union and Foyle Credit Union.

Inishowen Credit Union is a large credit union with 25,000 members across the Inishowen Peninsula and offices in Buncrana, Carndonagh, Moville and Muff.

We are currently seeking frontline Member Service Officers to work across our branch network. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Member Service Officers will be responsible and accountable for providing an excellent service to members.

The Member Services Officers duties will include:

• Acting as teller by processing lodgements and withdrawals;
• Dealing with member queries and new member applications;
• Undertaking filing and other general administrative tasks;
• Carrying out back office processing functions; and
• General administrative duties, including telephone calls.

The successful candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Leaving Certificate (or equivalent);
• Have at least one years’ experience in a cash handling role;
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
• Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
• Have strong IT application skills, Excel in particular;
• Have the ability to work on own initiative and meet targets and deadlines; and
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team.

Credit union experience is an advantage but is not essential.

These are fixed term contract positions (includes Saturday working). Successful candidates will be required to work at the various office locations.
