Mapping Covid: Cases down in five areas of Donegal

Covid-19 rates have decreased in five out of seven areas of Donegal this week.

And for the first time in a number of weeks, no areas of the county are among the 10 highest rates nationally.

New data shows that that Letterkenny local electoral area has the highest Covid-19 incidence rate in the county. In the past two weeks, there have been 209 new cases diagnosed, down from 229 in the previous fortnight.

Cases are also down in Inishowen, Lifford-Stranorlar, Milford.

The incidence rates are up in the Donegal and Glenties areas.

Waterford City currently has Ireland’s highest 14-day incidence rate at 1,300 per 100,000 population.
