ANOTHER 1,578 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The Department of Health says that there are now 484 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
Of those, 73 people are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.
There are 20 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital. As of 8pm last night, there are four confirmed Covid-19 patients in ICU at the hospital.
Daily county-by-county figures are no longer released by NPHET. The latest data shows that Donegal’s incidence of infection is the fifth highest in the country.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 574.1 per 100,000 on 14th October. The national average was 432.5 per 100,000. A total of 914 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the two weeks up to Thursday.
