Gardaí are investigating the theft of a car from a house in Buncrana yesterday.

The incident happened at Earlsfort, at some stage between 7.30pm and 9pm.

The key of a car was stolen from the house which had been left unlocked.

The white Hyundai Kona ‘VGZ’ was then taken from the driveway of the house.

The car was located with considerable damage to it a short time later near the front of the estate.

Gardai are appealing to anybody who may have seen the car being driven within the Earlsfort area or the Buncrana area in general to contact them in Buncrana.

Gardai are also appealing to anybody who believes that they may have captured the car on their dashcam footage to make the footage available to Gardaí.
