Highland Motors, Main Renault, Dacia, Citroen and Honda Dealer for the Northwest require a Management Accountant for maternity leave.
Based in Letterkenny, the position requires an immediate start.
The hours are negotiable but experience is essential.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Essential Requirements:
• Qualified accountant of 3 years or more
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team environment, self-manage and prioritise daily workload to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Intact and Fortuna systems would also be an advantage
• Experience in the motor trade desirable but not essential
• Processing/data entry and reconciliation experience
• Audit experience
Main Duties:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts to include P/L and balance sheet
2. Preparation of year-end audit file for external auditors
3. Monthly Nominal account reconciliations
4. Deal with internal and external account queries
5. To arrange and ensure payment of creditors and monthly reconciliations.
6. File/Sort/Enter Purchase Invoices
7. Responsible for bank reconciliations, lodgements, reconciliation of cash and for the oversight and reconciliation of petty cash.
8. To prepare VAT returns by deadline dates and ensure compliance.
9. Prepare Management accounts by agreed deadlines and submit same to Renault
through online system
10. To allocate Sales Payments and prepare Debtors Reconciliations and issue monthly statements.
11. Liaise with company auditors as necessary
12. Ad hoc Monthly reports
13. Assist with annual reviews – banking / finance
14. To work effectively with management and staff.
15. To carry out any other duties as requested by management from time to time.
